Alzira is a sample seamstress and also modeled for TAIPPE. She played a crucial role in sewing some of our early sample pieces before the task was handed over to Milinha. Her smile always brightens our day and keeps us motivated. This trench coat bears Alzira’s name as a tribute to how brilliantly she modeled it in the photoshoot.

Gabardine is a tightly woven twill fabric that’s highly durable, with a distinctive diagonal ribbing that can sometimes have a slight sheen. Originally used in "gabardinas" — cloaks worn in medieval Spain for weather protection — this fabric is known for being both strong and water-resistant. The cotton content in gabardine adds breathability, while the polyurethane (PU) coating enhances its waterproof properties, making it ideal for outerwear such as raincoats and trench coats.

‍96% Acetate 4% Bio Elastane

The lining is composed of 96% acetate and 4% bio-based elastane. Acetate, a man-made cellulose fiber derived from wood pulp, has a smooth, soft texture with a glossy finish, similar to natural silk. One of its main advantages is its biodegradability, making it an environmentally friendly option. Additionally, acetate fabric dries quickly, resists shrinking and pilling, and offers excellent protection against moths and mildew. Bio-based elastane, sourced from renewable biomass such as plant-based materials and agricultural waste, adds stretch to the fabric, enhancing its flexibility.
